International Workshop on New Developments of Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies in Japan and Europe
To review science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy going forward in Japan, STI policy in the EU is essential not only for comparative review, but for international cooperation. In this workshop, based on studies and recommendations on Japan’s STI policy under the Tokyo Foundation’s Reconstructing the Science and Technology Policy System research program, practitioners will report latest trends of the EU’s STI policy regarding Mission Oriented Innovation Policy (MOIP) and Green Transformation (GX). Panelists will also conduct international comparative review on addressing social issues under STI policy, clarifying the nature of issues in Japan and potential policies that Japan should take. The discussion will relate regulations and securities issues as well.
