Professor and Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, Teikyo University Graduated from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Letters in 1972 and earned a doctorate from the university’s Graduate School of Letters. Has been an assistant professor at Nara Women’s University and professor at Kyoto University before becoming professor and dean of Teikyo University’s Department of Japanese Culture. Assumed his current position in 2010.
