Bio
Dr. Shinichiro Nakamura is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. His specialties are hydrology, water resources management, and land-infrastructure design. He has conducted research on (1) sustainable basin management in urban areas, (2) evaluation of climate change impacts and adaptations in developing countries, and (3) analysis of socio-hydrological processes in the Asian monsoon region. He has been involved in a number of water-related research projects in Asian countries and civic participatory projects for urban river restoration. He received his PhD in engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2014.
