Chief Scientific Adviser Kiminori Matsuyama was invited this March to give a seminar tour on his research focusing on "Engel's Law in the Global Economy: Demand-Induced Patterns of Structural Change, Innovation, and Trade" at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Paris School of Economics, and University of Luxembourg.

His research article on the topic was published in the March 2019 issue of Econometrica, a journal published by the Econometric Society to advance economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.
