Asia, Europe Should Work to Restore Waning Multilateralism, Says Senior Fellow Fukushima
Senior Fellow Akiko Fukushima participated in an online panel discussion on “Europe, Asia, and Their Post-Pandemic Future,” livestreamed by Friends of Europe. The panel examined the future of Europe-Asia relations, asking what the two regions can do together to rebuild battered economies, aid the most vulnerable, and reinforce increasingly fragilized multilateral organizations, including the World Health Organization and the World Trade Organization.
Fukushima noted that Europe and Asia can and should work to reshape waning multilateralism to make it fit for the post-Corona world. This is something the EU and ASEAN can do together.
