The Blue Economy: International Trends and the Situation in Japan ( –2021)
The “blue economy” is a concept aimed at protecting marine ecosystems and promoting development through the sustainable use of marine resources. With the increased attention being given to the SDGs, discussions on the blue economy have become more active, and concrete steps are being taken in countries around the world. This program analyzes trends in Japan and the world regarding marine renewable energy and presents a blue economy policy that maximizes the potential of Japan’s oceans.
