Toward an Era of Policy Innovation: Symposium Report
October 21, 2022
Policy challenges like demographic aging and rising inequality are growing in a world undergoing seismic shifts and are adversely impacting local economies, industry, health-care services, the education system, and community life. To deal with such issues, a think tank must be innovative, closely monitoring the needs of individuals and keeping abreast of both domestic and global trends while undertaking evidence-based policy research.
On July 22, the Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research hosted a symposium to showcase its new vision and updated lineup of research programs, many of them launched in October 2021. The presentations by Tokyo Foundation research directors, listed below, offer a sample of the topics we are addressing in domains that form the foundations of civic life, including the economy and public finance, health and medical care, the environment, and technology and innovation.
